Welcome to the Haggis Motorsports Recovery and Stage Safety Unit website.

The Unit has now also been Registered as a Stage Safety Unit in October 2010

Haggis Recovery is a Registered Recovery unit licensed by the Motor Sports Association (MSA).  The unit has been registered since March 2007 as Vulture 2 Recovery but have recently changed its name to Haggis Recovery.  I have personally been licensed for about 12 years now.  I have done lots of events over the years including the Tour of Mull, Snowman Rally, Speyside, Granite City Rally, some Scottish Tarmack Rally Championship rounds and the Scottish Cross Country Championship with and without the unit to name a few events.

The “Auto Vulture” callsigns are the MSA callsign for the Scottish Off  Road Club Ltd but in 2007 we also got the callsign of “Auto Haggis”, so all the radios are both Vulture and Haggis.

The unit is now a V8 powered Land Rover 110 CSW which started its life with Strathclyde Fire and Rescue and is green not red.  As most would expect, the old unit was a former AA breakdown Land Rover which worked over in the West of Scotland.
